Our cuisine represents tradition, puts great care on selecting homemade, fresh and high quality ingredients and helps you maintain a healthy and fulfilling future. Our a la carte Restaurant 1906 at Hotel Triglav is renowned for its traditional, first grade ingredients, that are supplied by local handlers. By keeping in touch with the local environment we help preserving traditional products, such as must pears, and also protect the landscape for future generations. Traditional ingredients are prepared in a modern way and are upgrated with the specialities of French and Mediterreanean cuisine. All the flavours are beeing carefully mixed by our chef Uroš Štefelin. All the dishes, accompanied with fine wine selection, form a perfect harmony of tastes. A special privilege for our guests at Hotel Triglav is our Chef's Štefelin Culinary school, that is aimed for people from 4 to 99 years of age. These workshops are organized in order to raise the distinction of gastronomic profession, to show the children the beauties of preparing food or importance of proper serving and to teach people how to indulge in food or drinks or with other words we try to stimulate exquisite table manners in Slovenia. Adults and children are shown the diversity of knowledge as well as skills, which are needed for gastronomic professions. Our goal is also to show the participants the difference between good and bad quality of the ingredients and to introduce them with the region's culinary delights and at last, teach them modern techniques and trics, which turn these traditional dishes into magnificant works of art.
