Our culinary team, led by Chef Aleš Fendet, is modern and passionate about their work. They value their profession and lovingly recreate and explore traditional Slovenian dishes that previous generations prepared at Hotel Triglav. Simultaneously, they constantly research and educate themselves in their field while maintaining close relationships with suppliers.
Inspiration for each dish on the menu comes from typical Slovenian dishes, customs, and ingredients. Carefully prepared in a contemporary way with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, they find their moment in our offerings. Healthy, high-quality foods come to us from local producers, and herbs grow right in our garden.
For weekends and public holidays, we invite you to Restaurant 1906 for lunch (between 12:00 and 15:00), or as we like to call it, “Ajzenponarska rihta” or the Railway Worker’s Snack. Hotel Triglav is in the immediate vicinity of the railway track and Bled Jezero station, so we named our lunch in connection with it. The lunch is entirely prepared from ingredients from local providers united under the umbrella brand Bled Local Selection. Emphasizing the local diversity of culinary products, the Bled Local Selection brings together farmers, food producers, restaurateurs, and hospitality staff from the broader Bled region. You can choose between 3 and 5 courses from the menu. Lunch is served every Saturday, Sunday, and on public holidays. Pay special attention to every third Sunday of the month when our suppliers from the Bled Local Selection join us for the hotel breakfast and at the Kolodvorska market. Lunch is particularly affordable on these days.
