Restaurant 1906 (named after the year the hotel and the Bohinj railway line opened in 1906) has always represented the heart of Hotel Triglav. Our cuisine is rooted in respect for Slovenian tradition, seasonal ingredients, and trusted local producers. Today, we operate with a clear focus: to create a space where the comfort of a hotel stay naturally blends with business meetings, visits from external guests, and the return of local patrons.

The way people travel has changed. Today’s guest seeks quality food without hours of formality. Guests want to eat well — but live even better. Less time at the evening table, more time for themselves — by the lake, in nature, or in the quiet of a room with a view.

We have adapted our concept accordingly.

Under the leadership of Chef Aleš Fende, we focus on outstanding hotel breakfasts, relaxed seasonal brunch, and structured lunches and dinners for pre-booked groups — all set in an idyllic location overlooking the lake, Bled Island, and the surrounding hills.

The restaurant no longer operates as a traditional evening à la carte venue.
However, for pre-arranged groups, we are pleased to open in the evening — with a clearly agreed menu and pricing framework that ensures a high-quality experience.

From 2022 through 2025, the restaurant was recommended by the Michelin Guide. This recognition brought us further knowledge, discipline, and respect for the craft. Today, we apply it with greater focus and long-term perspective.

Restaurant 1906 is now a place for good food, beautiful views, and the reassuring feeling that you have your day under control.

All of our spaces are at your disposal: the main dining room with terrace, a private fireplace room, the bar in the lower level by the pool, and our exclusive wine cellar.
