In Restaurant 1906, named after the hotel’s opening year and the Turjak Railway line, Chef Aleš Fende’s team elevates the culture of dining and drinking. We revive traditional dishes, offer wine tastings in our in-house wine cellar, conduct culinary workshops for children, host themed evenings, delight you with unforgettable hotel breakfasts, and set up a market with local suppliers.
Our aim is to provide each guest with a top-notch culinary experience. For lunch and dinner, we prepare a seasonal menu, ensuring fresh dishes that consider the season and local ingredients.
In the evenings, we spoil you with two alternating menus: “Lowland” and “Highland,” each with its own story celebrating Slovenian cuisine and its diversity. You can always check the daily menu above. Understanding dietary challenges and modern eating habits, our entire kitchen is based on dishes with minimal allergens, a minimal number of ingredients on the plate, and authentic intense flavors.
A vegan menu is available every night. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, we also serve “Ajzenponarska Rihta” or the railwayman’s lunch, a meal made from local ingredients under the umbrella brand Bled Local Selection.
We draw inspiration for our dishes from the surrounding area and the food stories that have accompanied us at Hotel Triglav for over a century. This is evident in recipes from Nežka, great-grandmother of Mr. Zdravko Rus, the hotel’s owner, who, in 1920s, as a chef herself, created dishes that are characteristic even today: mushroom soup, beef bržola, walnut štruklji…
We recommend opting for at least 4 courses during your visit. This allows you to enjoy a diverse range of our dishes, showcasing culinary perfection that earned us the Michelin recognition. Upon prior request, we are ready to treat you to a longer gourmet experience.
In addition to the main restaurant area, during warmer months, let yourself be served on the outdoor terrace with the most beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains. For those craving more privacy, a special room with a fireplace is available, where no one will disturb your meeting or gathering.
Before the wine cellar, there is a garden with a charming lower terrace where you can enjoy a selection of local snacks, tasty coffee, cocktails, or a glass of quality Slovenian wine while reading a book in the early sunlight or evening shade. At least three times a week, we organize tastings of Slovenian wines in the cellar.
Every day before dinner, we invite you to our aperitivo bar “Vinski Klub,” for a glass of sparkling wine, excellent cocktails, house beer, and Rikli’s cake.

For groups of 6 or more, we can open the restaurant outside working hours with prior notice.
Last orders are possible at 14:30 for lunches and 20:30 for dinners. The restaurant’s working hours may change, so we recommend making a reservation via the booking application or calling us before your visit. Table reservations are mandatory for both hotel and external guests, at least 24 hours before the visit.
